Yorktown got their first taste of in-conference action on Monday and they started things off strong. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Washington-Liberty Generals, sneaking past 2-1. That's more bragging rights for Yorktown, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Yorktown's win bumped their record up to 5-3-3. As for Washington-Liberty, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Yorktown will venture away from home to face off against Woodson at 7:15 p.m. on May 7. As for Washington-Liberty, they will welcome Alexandria City at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
