Baseball Recap: North Pike Takes a Loss

North Pike and East Central squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but North Pike had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 11-1. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

North Pike's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for East Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: East Central beat North Pike by a score of 6-2 on Monday.
