Football Game Preview: Bloomington Central Catholic Saints vs. Princeton Tigers

Bloomington Central Catholic has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Princeton has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Saints will challenge the Tigers at 1:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bloomington Central Catholic's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 41-0 win over Prairie Central. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Princeton over Erie in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tigers blew the Cardinals out of the water with a 48-0 final score. The Tigers pushed the score to 41-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals had no chance of recovering from.

Bloomington Central Catholic better keep an eye on Casey Etheridge. He was instrumental in Princeton's win, rushing for 222 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Etheridge's longest rush was for an incredible 87 yards.

Princeton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 468 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 297 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
