Basketball Recap: Lone Star Comes Up Short

Lone Star had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-3 to make it four. They took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anna Coyotes. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Coyotes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

As for Anna, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points over those games.

Anna's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Foster, who went 7-for-11 en route to 17 points. Foster is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Keshawn Myles was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Coming up, Lone Star will face off against Lovejoy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will be up against the Leopards' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Anna, they will take on Emerson at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
