As the high school basketball season winds to a close, the number of games involving MaxPreps Top 25 teams continues to dwindle as more states finish their seasons.

Wheeler pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the year Saturday night, defeating No. 2 Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) 60-59 in the GHSA Class AAAAAAA state title game to capture the program's seventh state title. The loss likely knocks the Rams out of GEICO Nationals contention.

No. 3 Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.) captured its fourth consecutive state championship against Dutch Fork (Irmo) 65-46 on Friday night, as the Cavaliers won their 59 consecutive wins against in-state opponents to secure their spot in GEICO Nationals.

No. 21 Duncanville (Texas) defeated Permian (Odessa) 59-43 in Class 6A, while No. 22 Lancaster (Texas) breezed past Kimball (Dallas) 90-69 in Class 5A to advance to the UIL state semifinals in their respective classifications.

No. 16 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) was also in action late on Saturday, opening their quest for a third consecutive CIF Open Division state title with a 75-65 victory against Harvard-Westlake (Studio City).
