Basketball Recap: Licking Heights Hornets vs. Heath Bulldogs

The Licking Heights Hornets had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 35-34 win over Heath. This was payback for Licking Heights, who suffered a 50-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Heath's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caroline Robertson, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Robertson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Cash, who scored eight points along with two steals.

Licking Heights' win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Heath, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Licking Heights will be playing at home against the Blue Aces at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Granville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Heath, they will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Northridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Wednesday.
