Volleyball Recap: Ivy Bankston and Lynnon Rhodes Secure Win for Brandon

Brandon won the last time they faced Germantown and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mavericks.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 32-30, 26-24, 31-33, 25-12.

Brandon was led to victory by Lynnon Rhodes and Ivy Bankston. Rhodes had 14 digs and three aces, while Bankston had 16 digs and one assist. That's the most aces Rhodes has posted over her last five matches. Katie Thorthon also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Brandon's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Brandon has already played their next game (against Our Lady Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Germantown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against DeSoto Central on the 7th.
