Recap: Rosman Tigers vs. Owen Warhorses

The Rosman Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 77-61 win over Owen. The win was familiar territory for Rosman who now have six in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rosman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexi Powell (sykes), who scored 19 points. Powell (sykes) hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Alissa Cheek, who scored 18 points.

Owen lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ellie Martin, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Roland, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Even though they lost, Owen were working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Rosman is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Owen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Rosman will face off against Avery County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rosman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Avery County likes a good challenge. Owen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
