Football Recap: Aiden Jacobs and Brayden Tillman Secure Win for Traverse City West + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grand Blanc, Traverse City West was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 27-21 W over the Midland Chemics. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 14-13 victory the Chemics walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

A big part of Traverse City West's win came down to the chemistry between Brayden Tillman and his top target Aiden Jacobs. Tillman rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on only six carries while Jacobs picked up 58 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Tillman's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Traverse City West now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Midland, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Traverse City West will welcome Dow at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Midland, they will host Traverse City Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
