After a string of five wins, St. Ansgar's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Newman Catholic Knights by a score of 5-4. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

St. Ansgar's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Newman Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

St. Ansgar wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-0 defeat against Kee on the 14th. As for Newman Catholic, they will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
