Basketball Recap: North Huron Warriors vs. Deckerville Eagles
North Huron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 64-41 to the Deckerville Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 59-45 defeat two weeks ago.
Deckerville had a senior duo take command as Logan Martin posted 22 points along with five boards and three steals and Hunter Garza shot 44% from the field en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. Garza has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ian Flanigan, who earned seven points and five rebounds.
North Huron's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Deckerville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-10.
North Huron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Deckerville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 78-56 win against Ubly on the 28th.
