Basketball Recap: Gladwin Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shepherd, Gladwin was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Harrison Hornets 40-38. The Flying G's have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Gladwin pushed their record up to 1-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Harrison, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gladwin will be home for the holidays to greet Ogemaw Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gladwin is facing Ogemaw Heights at the right time seeing as Ogemaw Heights is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Harrison, they will host Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meridian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Harrison surely won't give up without a fight.
