Football Recap: Animo Robinson Starts Season with Loss at Home

Animo Robinson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs on Friday, falling 60-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Monarchs have suffered since September 27, 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Morgan Hawkins, who picked up 51 receiving yards and two scores. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Coming up, Animo Robinson will face off against Sage Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Designs Watts at 7:30 p.m. on the 11th.
