Softball Recap: New Castle Comes Up Short

New Castle fell victim to New Palestine and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Dragons, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

New Castle's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for New Palestine, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Coming up, New Castle will take on Yorktown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for New Palestine, they will square off against Fishers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
