Volleyball Game Preview: Dobyns-Bennett Indians vs. Anderson County Mavericks

Dobyns-Bennett is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Anderson County is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Indians will welcome the Mavericks on Thursday. Dobyns-Bennett will be strutting in after a win while Anderson County will be coming in after a defeat.

Dobyns-Bennett is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Science Hill, who was ranked 15th at the time (Dobyns-Bennett was ranked seventh). The Indians blew past the Hilltoppers 3-0 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Anderson County suffered their biggest loss since August 18th on Tuesday. They came up short against William Blount, falling 3-0.

Dobyns-Bennett's victory bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Anderson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-16.

Dobyns-Bennett was able to grind out a solid win over Anderson County when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Mavericks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
