Softball Recap: Holmes Takes a Loss

Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the O'Connor Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-6 back in March.

Holmes saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Rojas, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for O'Connor, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Holmes has already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Marshall on the 15th. As for O'Connor, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-2 victory against Stevens on the 15th.
