Baseball Game Preview: James Buchanan Rockets vs. Waynesboro Indians

James Buchanan is 2-8 against Waynesboro since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rockets will head out on the road to take on the Indians at 4:15 p.m.

James Buchanan fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Big Spring on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

James Buchanan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Crouse, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Waynesboro sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over West Perry on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

This is the second loss in a row for James Buchanan and nudges their season record down to 5-4-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Waynesboro, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
