Baseball Recap: Villa Park's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Villa Park's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Cypress Centurions on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Centurions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in March.

Villa Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Young, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Villa Park moved to 13-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Cypress, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

While Villa Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
