Baseball Recap: Lawrence Academy Find Success

While Lawrence Academy's win against Eastern Christian HomeSchool wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Trailblazers 6-5 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Trailblazers: they've now won five in a row.

Patrick Lundy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Simon Lundy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Hunter Eason, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Lawrence Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Lawrence Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-3 win against Pungo Christian Academy on the 18th. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-2 defeat against Northside - Pinetown on the 18th.
