Villa Rica won the last time they faced South Paulding and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 31-17 win over the Spartans. The Wildcats' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Villa Rica's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for South Paulding, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

The Wildcats are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for South Paulding, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Manchester at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
