Basketball Recap: Santa Rita Skates Past Andrada Polytechnic with Ease

The Santa Rita Eagles were fully in charge on Monday, breezing past the Andrada Polytechnic Mavericks 77-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Kamran Shaya Alavi was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 57% from the field en route to 31 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Parker, who posted ten points along with six boards and five assists.

Santa Rita was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Andrada Polytechnic only posted two.

When it comes to explaining why Andrada Polytechnic lost, don't look at Chasen Lewellyn. Despite the final result, he had 17 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kadan Johnson, who earned six points and eight boards.

Santa Rita now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Andrada Polytechnic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Santa Rita wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-25 win against Lourdes Catholic on the 25th. As for Andrada Polytechnic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-43 defeat against Santa Cruz Valley on the 2nd.
