Volleyball Recap: Olathe Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Olathe lost against Rangely back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Olathe took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-17, 24-26, 25-18, 15-8.

Maryann Fassett paced Olathe's offense, picking up eight kills. Fassett got some help from Haley Cox and her 16 assists. Cox was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Olathe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Rangely, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

Coming up, Olathe will face off against Center at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rangely, they will square off against Plateau Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
