St. Pius X is a perfect 10-0 against Highland since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Sartans will head out on the road to square off against the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. St. Pius X is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.

St. Pius X is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Valencia just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 13-12.

Jordan Chavez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Grady, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against Valencia, falling 35-2.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for St. Pius X, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 11-13.

St. Pius X took their victory against Highland in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 18-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
