After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Irion County brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past the Paint Rock Indians, posting a 60-14 win. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Irion County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Seahorn out in front who rushed for 60 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 95 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave Seahorn a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Hagen Turman, who rushed for 82 yards and a pair of scores.

Irion County picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Paint Rock, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Irion County and Paint Rock will both be playing Water Valley the next time they take the field. The Hornets will host the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st, while the Indians will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on November 7.
