Hingham extended the longest winning streak in Patriot - Keenan this week by beating Catholic Memorial School, 16-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Harbormen.
Whitman-Hanson Regional took down Hanover 28-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Thomas Sapienza threw for 68 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 46 yards in the win.
Sean McCarthy provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Duxbury beat Xaverian Brothers. He completed seven passes for 125 yards and one touchdown and also ran for six yards. McCarthy's favorite target this week was Jon Hurvitz, who caught two passes for 56 yards.
Dondre James was the best wideout in the league this week as the Panthers topped the Indians. James racked up two receptions for 56 yards. Jake Walkins helped Whitman-Hanson Regional's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Hurvitz was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 91 yards as the Dragons bested Hanover. Wes Quinzani also contributed to the rushing game with seven yards on the ground.
Mike Driscoll's team's Sapienza and James have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Patriot - Keenan in both passing and receiving yards. Sapienza has thrown for 688 yards this season, while James, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 18 catches for 401 yards. Duxbury's Hurvitz leads the league in rushing yards with 623.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Silver Lake Regional takes on Hingham. At the moment, the Lakers are in fifth, while Paul Killinger's team is in first.
The Harbormen and the Knights played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Harbormen eventually emerging with a 16-14 victory.
