Softball Recap: Charlotte Comes Up Short

Charlotte made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Riverview Sarasota, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Fightin' Tarpons fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Fightin' Tarpons just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Charlotte saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addi Recker, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Riverview Sarasota, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlotte will welcome Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverview Sarasota, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Seminoles have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
