Volleyball Recap: Whiteland Takes a Loss

Whiteland suffered their biggest defeat since April 29th on Thursday. They came up short against the Jeffersonville Red Devils, falling 3-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Whiteland was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-14.

Dean Rodgers paced Whiteland's offense, picking up nine kills. Rodgers got some help from Henry Zauk and his 19 assists. Joseph Ngun and Yuvi Badwal kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Whiteland's loss dropped their record down to 8-21. As for Jeffersonville, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 26-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Whiteland will challenge Columbus East at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jeffersonville, they will square off against Southwestern at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
