Rock Port is a perfect 6-0 against North Nodaway since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Jays will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rock Port has ten straight wins, North Nodaway has 29 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Rock Port made easy work of Osborn and carried off a 12-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Blue Jays, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Dylan Lair made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Corbyn Jakub was incredible, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Tayden Cook was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Rock Port kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, North Nodaway fell victim to East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 18-0 to East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax].
Rock Port pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for North Nodaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
Rock Port took their win against North Nodaway in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 18-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Jays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
