Basketball Game Preview: Dodge County Indians vs. Dublin Fighting Irish

Dodge County is 1-9 against Dublin since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Dodge County Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dublin Fighting Irish at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dodge County comes in on three and Dublin on four.

Dodge County will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Washington County, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Dodge County came out on top against Washington County by a score of 60-50 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Dublin was able to grind out a solid victory over Wheeler County on Friday, taking the game 70-61. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dublin's win came from a few key players Dodge County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Javion Harris, who made all 6 shots he took for 17 points. Another player making a difference was Tristian Bell, who posted 13 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.

Dodge County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Dublin, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Dodge County strolled past Dublin in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 62-45. Will Dodge County repeat their success, or does Dublin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
