Basketball Recap: Gainesville Extends Winning Streak to Two

Chattahoochee came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Gainesville, but Shailyn Jones wouldn't allow it. The Gainesville Red Elephants simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Chattahoochee Cougars 59-32 thanks in part to Jones, who posted 26 points. Those 26 points gave her a new career-high.

Loren Withrite and Grace Harris certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Withrite scored 13 points and three blocks, while Harris put up nine points and six rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Gainesville and bumps their season record up to 14-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.5 points. As for Chattahoochee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.

As of now, neither Gainesville nor Chattahoochee have any future games scheduled.
