Football Recap: Michigan Collegiate Takes a Loss

Michigan Collegiate was the 54-13 winner over Summit Academy when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars received a blow on Friday as they fell 34-20 to the Dragons. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Summit Academy to victory were Everet Roberts and Oween Sudduth. Roberts gained 197 total yards and three touchdowns, while Sudduth threw for 140 yards and two TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

Michigan Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Summit Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Michigan Collegiate is set to take on their familiar foe Chandler Park Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Summit Academy will challenge rival Voyageur Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
