Baseball Game Preview: Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels vs. Lausanne Collegiate Lynx

The Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels will venture away from home to challenge the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tipton-Rosemark Academy has three straight victories, Lausanne Collegiate has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Tipton-Rosemark Academy's win against Trinity Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Lions on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 4, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The team relied heavily on Trace Scott, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, Lausanne Collegiate came up short against Houston on Friday and fell 10-5.

Lausanne Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy beat Lausanne Collegiate 6-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
