Coventry has gone 9-1 against Smithfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Oakers will square off against the Sentinels at 5:00 p.m. Neither Coventry nor Smithfield posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Coventry is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: La Salle Academy, who was ranked first at the time (Coventry was ranked fourth). The Oakers lost 11-1 to the Rams on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Oakers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Smithfield's offense. They fell 3-0 to Pilgrim on Monday.

This is the second loss in a row for Coventry and nudges their season record down to 8-4. As for Smithfield, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-4.
