Basketball Game Preview: Columbus International Lions vs. Delaware Christian Eagles

The Columbus International Lions will take on the Delaware Christian Eagles in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Columbus International sitting on four straight victories and Delaware Christian on three.

Columbus International is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing East: they outscored them in every quarter. Columbus International enjoyed a cozy 50-32 win over East on Tuesday.

Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Delaware Christian blew Northside Christian out of the water with a 54-25 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Columbus International better focus on containing Addy Beard and Brooke Huffman as the pair were huge in Delaware Christian's win. Beard dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards, while Huffman posted 21 points. Beard's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Julia Pearch was another key player, putting up six points along with seven assists and three steals.

Columbus International's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Delaware Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
