Softball Recap: Bountiful Makes It 13 in a Row on the Road

While Bountiful put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Viewmont. The RedHawks blew past the Vikings 12-0. The RedHawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Isabeau Hoff was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Aimee Moore was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Bountiful always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Viewmont only posted an OBP of .062.

Bountiful's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.8 runs this season. As for Viewmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bountiful will square off against Northridge at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The RedHawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Viewmont, they will challenge Bonneville at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
