Baseball Recap: Lake Highland Prep's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Lake Highland Prep had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Titusville Terriers by a score of 14-11 on Monday. The Highlanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Terriers, too.

The team relied heavily on Manny Socarras, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ari Lanxner also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Lake Highland Prep now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Titusville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Lake Highland Prep has already played their next game, a 6-4 defeat against Montverde Academy on the 20th. As for Titusville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Varsity Opponent on the 18th.
