Basketball Recap: George Ranch Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

George Ranch and Shadow Creek squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but George Ranch had to settle for second. They fell 57-47 to the Shadow Creek Sharks. The Longhorns' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

George Ranch lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cayden Munnilal, who went 6-for-14 en route to 15 points. His big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Mahonwu, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

George Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Shadow Creek, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 32-2.

George Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shadow Creek, they will take on Jordan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Jordan likes a good challenge.
