 Canterbury School had to hit the road for their first game and  it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost  14-1 to the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns on Saturday. The  defeat   continues a  trend for Canterbury School in their matchups with Kingswood Oxford: they've now lost three in a row.
 For Kingswood Oxford's part,  Alexis Nisyrios '27 was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Nisyrios '27 has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Nisyrios '27 was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Olivia Raccio '28 and  Olivia Gallup '25 did most of the damage at the plate:  Raccio '28  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while  Gallup '25  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was  Aniajah Sanchez ' 28, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all two of her plate appearances.
 The  victory was  the sixth in a row for Kingswood Oxford, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
 Canterbury School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kingswood Oxford, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Worcester Academy at 5:00  p.m. Kingswood Oxford's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4  runs per game  this season, so Worcester Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
