Springfield is a perfect 5-0 against Start since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Blue Devils will host the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Springfield didn't have quite enough to beat Northview and fell 3-2.

Springfield took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 17-25, 25-22, 15-13.

The losing side was boosted by Jonah Sheppard, who had 24 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Start lost 3-0 to Adrian on Wednesday. The Spartans have struggled against the Maples recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 25-16.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Start, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Springfield beat Start 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
