Baseball Recap: Imperial Find Success

Imperial won the last time they faced Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Imperial's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tate Tucker, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Tucker a new career-high. Gianni Robles also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Imperial's record is now 10-14. As for Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15-1 record this season.

Imperial will take on Holtville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will face off against Palo Verde Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
