Gabrielino has gone 9-1 against South El Monte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Gabrielino Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the South El Monte Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Gabrielino is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Gabrielino will head into Friday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 27-point drubbing they dealt Marshall on Friday. Gabrielino claimed a resounding 60-33 victory over Marshall.

Meanwhile, South El Monte got the win against El Monte on Wednesday by a conclusive 51-31.

South El Monte found their leader in sophomore Eli Lopez, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Lopez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trinidad Marquez, who posted six points and six steals.

Gabrielino's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11. As for South El Monte, they have also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-14 record this season.

Gabrielino beat South El Monte 41-28 when the teams last played on Tuesday. Will Gabrielino repeat their success, or does South El Monte have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
