Baseball Recap: Central's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Central put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Walton Braves. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

Brock Schmidt was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Payton Holland was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Brock Reeves was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Central's record is now 4-0. As for Walton, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Central has already played their next matchup, a 7-4 victory against Santa Rosa Christian on the 3rd. As for Walton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-0 loss against West Florida on the 3rd.
