Baseball Recap: Honesdale Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Honesdale's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Old Forge Blue Devils on Friday. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Honesdale saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Carter Hawley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Honesdale's record now sits at 6-11. As for Old Forge, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Honesdale will take on rival Western Wayne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Old Forge is set to square off against their familiar foe Dunmore at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Devils 2.9, the Bucks 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
