Softball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 25-9 to the Lehigh Lightning. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Lightning: they've now lost eight in a row.

Ziya Chambers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Diana Cano-Mendez, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-1.

Even though they lost, Dunbar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lehigh, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Dunbar will head out on the road to face off against Island Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dunbar is facing Island Coast at the right time seeing as Island Coast is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lehigh, they will be playing at home against Riverdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
