Verona has gone a perfect 3-0 against Sun Prairie West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. Verona's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Sun Prairie West's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Verona's last matchup with Middleton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Cardinals. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Sun Prairie West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Oregon. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by just one run.

Verona's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Sun Prairie West, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Verona came out on top in a nail-biter against Sun Prairie West when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
