Soccer Game Preview: Vista PEAK Prep vs. Denver North

Vista PEAK Prep is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. They are taking a road trip to challenge the Denver North Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Vista PEAK Prep's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

While Vista PEAK Prep's win against DSST: Green Valley Ranch wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bison never let the Raptors get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory back in March. Vista PEAK Prep haven't had any issues with DSST: Green Valley Ranch recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Vista PEAK Prep's one-goal win came courtesy of Maria Trevizo Perez, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Denver North fell victim to Thompson Valley and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0.

Vista PEAK Prep's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Denver North, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1.

Vista PEAK Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Denver North in their previous matchup back in April of 2016, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
