Volleyball Recap: Batesburg-Leesville's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Batesburg-Leesville played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Pelion. That three set margin sets a new team best for Batesburg-Leesville this season.

The win didn't come easy: Pelion scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-18.

Kate Shealy paced Batesburg-Leesville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Shealy got some help from Molly Price and her 30 assists.

Batesburg-Leesville's victory ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 12-17-1. As for Pelion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11-1 record this season.
