Soccer Recap: Clovis Comes Up Short

Clovis faced Capital in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Jaguars who were credited with the victory. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Clovis of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

As for Capital, they will challenge Rio Rancho at 4:00 p.m. on the 9th. Rio Rancho's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
