Baseball Recap: Webster County Has No Trouble Against Trinity

Webster County won the last time they faced Trinity and things went their way on Monday too. The Trojans blew past the Raiders 10-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Gunnar Boone made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Webster County's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 7-1 (and 9-11 when he doesn't). Boone was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 12 matchups.

In other pitching news, Asher Mcdyer looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
