Softball Recap: Box Elder Bees vs. Woods Cross Wildcats

In what's become a running theme this season, Box Elder gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Woods Cross Wildcats with a sharp 17-2 win. Winning may never get old, but Box Elder sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Lucy Braegger looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, Stevie Checketts and Alexis Hales did most of the damage at the plate: Checketts went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Hales went 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and a double. Another player making a difference was Justy Pritchard, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

On Woods Cross' side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Wall, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Box Elder pushed their record up to 20-4 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Woods Cross, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.
